Hi everyone
I am wondering if any of you have found a decent color to match the orange on the Bonny ?
I read somewhere on here I think about Volkswagen Orange but have looked in Canadian Tire at their touch up paints but no Volkswagen orange

I only want to redo the Bonair plates on front and rear so don't need a lot of it.

Thanks !

It's a small place in the middle of practically nowhere but it is peaceful and very quaint. It's called Camping Tournesol, located close to Shawinigan Quebec in the town of St-Elie de Caxton. Owners are completely bilingual, the place is always clean, bathrooms are impeccable and the lake is crystal clear.

Take a look !

This is a hand full. We purchased this little baby for 4 thousand bucks, at first we thought that we had made a great deal but the more I took stuff apart the more I found rot and stuff just falling apart...LOL! So far we've been kind of lucky most of the parts I've been able to salvage and restore but there is lots to do and mods to plan.

I've put together a slide show, some pics are good and some are bad but please feel free to ask any questions if you should have any.

I've been looking at how its made, It seems fairly simple to replace. I ahve to source some cable and it seems Home Hardware carries the exact stuff.
so, procedure wise, is it best to replace a cable with the top up? or down.
I think up would be best to do it with the top up.
is there a trick to getting the cable tension right?

Just attempted to crank up the tent trailer, a 2003 1200 SL. The roof raised about 4 inches before it stopped with a loud clunk.

When I crawled under to investigate I noticed the gear attached to the cranking shaft wasn't set with the gear attached to the cylinder that winds the cables. The teeth are actually aligned with the teeth on the other gear instead of the teeth of one gear aligning with a gap on the other gear.

I could easily lower the roof back to travel height. Gears ...

I've seen two kinds of rotting on Bonnys and it was all depending on the type of roof set up.

On my first rebuild, my 1993 Ba700 it was the front and back roof panels that rotted out and the other was my friends 1979 Ba700 and on this one it was the side roof panels that had been affected by rot.

Bonair's Lift - who makes them - what parts work?

So does anyone know if the lifts in a Bonair are a generic type such as the Goshen - or did they make their own lifts - also if any other manufactures parts work. How many of you have the "safety" c channels that install over the lift arms like I keep hearing other manufactures have?

As we all know it is getting harder every year to find Bonair parts and information. There are a few chat rooms here and there all over the web and splurt out info every now and then but if you are not there at that precise time....Well.....You're simply not getting the info you need.

Hopefully this new Bonair Forum will put a stop to that constant ...
